Prince Setanta's Installation, 9th February 2023

A much relieved Master, Steven Thackrah, opened what must be the smallest Mark Lodge in the Province, for the last time after three years as it's head. Steve has during that time travelled many hundred's of miles up and down the M6 motorway, from his home in Morecambe, not only to his own Prince Setanta Mark Lodge, but to visit all the Mark lodges on the Fylde Coast as he has been a terrific ambassador for his lodge.
After the opening and general business was completed the Provincial Junior Garden Warden, Brian Charles Povey, entered the Lodge accompanied by a good number of Grand Officers, after being welcomed by the Master, a excellent shortened Installation ceremony was delivered by the him, as the incumbent was completing his hat-trick, as it was the third time Worshipful Brother Alan Gould had been placed into the chair of the Lodge. All addresses being given and the officers installed, greetings delivered, we moved down stairs to a very convivial festive board with all the little touches that make Prince Setnata Mark Lodge such a pleasure to attend.
An excellent meeting topped off with the fact the new Master had been given a promotion to that of Past Provincial Grand Junior Warden and Steve Thackrah, the Installing Master is to receive a first Provincial appointment to that of Acting Steward, many congratulations to them both.
